The Partnership and Community Manager is a key member of the Agency’s Leadership Team and is responsible for developing and growing strategic partnerships within their assigned community and internally within FIREFLY.  A key deliverable is to ensure provision of services that are appropriate, integrated, streamlined, and that meet the needs of FIREFLY clients and their families.  Additionally, the Partnership and Community Manager is responsible for day to day supervision of FIREFLY staff located in their community.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations within the assigned community.

  • Develop and grow strategic partnerships within the assigned community to align services to best meet the needs of FIREFLY clients and their families.

  • Develop and grow partnerships within FIREFLY to align processes and services to best meet the needs of FIREFLY clients and their families.

  • Provide supervision to staff located within assigned community including approval of expenses, purchase requisitions, SHOT sheets, and time off requests with input from others as necessary.

  • Working jointly with the appropriate Clinical Manager, complete performance appraisals on direct reports.

  • Responsible for the performance management related to non-clinical work of direct reports

  • Promote and cultivate a collaborative team culture; encourage work/life balance; stimulate and support creative thinking and problem-solving

  • Collaborate with and support the efforts of all Leadership Team members to achieve optimal service

  • Act as the on-site resource/action person for the Manager of Operations as needed.

  • Collaborate with Clinical Managers to align direction for staff to best meet the needs of FIREFLY clients and their families

  • Participate in service planning activities in conjunction with the FIREFLY Strategy and Performance Team

  • Promote service excellence by monitoring performance and implementing strategic action plans.

  • Lead using project management and LEAN methodologies.

     

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum University Degree in the Human/Developmental Services Field or Business/Leadership in the Non-Profit or equivalent of education and experience, Master’s preferred

  • Education and minimum 3-5 years of experience in management within the non-profit sector including team leadership and supervision is essential

  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, diplomacy and judgement is required

  • Ability to effectively manage complex and sensitive situations

  • Ability to deliver effective presentations

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Capability to meet demanding deadlines and complete a high volume of diverse projects with a great degree of initiative and independence

  • Strong working knowledge of electronic document management and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Requires attention to details and deadlines, strong organizational skills, effective priority-setting

  • Education and/or experience in project management would be considered an asset

  • Education and/or experience in LEAN methodology would be considered an asset
